Your chakras, for the uninitiated, are energy centers in your body. There are seven main chakras. Balanced chakras are essential for maintaining balance in the physical body. Here are some foods that will help you stay balanced and healthy:
The root chakra is red and located at the base of your spine. It rules your security and keeps you grounded. Keep your root chakra happy by eating red veggies, red proteins, and root veggies. Carrots, beets, beef, lamb, red bell pepper, onions, potatoes, and strawberries are all good for your root chakra.
The sacral chakra is orange and located a few inches below your belly button. It rules your sexuality and creativity. Keep this chakra happy by eating orange foods, such as carrots, oranges, mangoes, and turmeric. The sacral chakra also likes beans, eggs, and oils, such as olive oil.
The solar plexus chakra is yellow and located at your solar plexus just above your belly button. It rules your power, ego, and confidence. To feed this chakra, you guessed it, feast on yellow foods such as lemons, squash, ginger, bananas, and pineapples. This chakra can also be kept happy by eating whole grains.
The heart chakra is green and located in the center of your chest. It rules healing, love, and emotions. Foods such as lettuce, celery, cucumbers, avocados, green herbs, and green tea will delight your heart chakra. This chakra also likes being fed raw foods.

The third eye chakra is purple and located just above the middle of your eyebrows. It rules vision, intuition, ideas, and thoughts. To keep your third eye happy, eat purple grapes, plums, eggplant, purple carrots, or potatoes.
