“Virgo Season is a season of healing (physical and spiritual) and Virgo Season is a season of magic and Virgo Season is a season of medicine.”
For Virgo Season: You Are That Witch
I can’t stop thinking about Virgo Season, how it will be different this year. And as I write this, it hasn’t even started. Maybe it feels this way because we’re in year two of covid or because many of us are still recovering from the recent Gemini/Sagittarius eclipses. Whatever it is, there’s a feeling of trepidation in the air. Do you feel it? And I’m thinking about how we can turn that trepidation into awe, that if you’re reading this, you made it, you’re alive. This is worth noting.
On my podcast these days, I’m talking about therapy. I hadn’t been in therapy for years, for over a decade, after plenty of it in my 20s and 30s, and then in June I got the idea to go back, to return, and it’s life changing. I’m telling you this because Virgo Season is a season of healing (physical and spiritual) and Virgo Season is a season of magic and Virgo Season is a season of medicine, and we all have to find our healing and our magic and our medicine in the coming days.
This doesn’t mean that we don’t get help and helpers along the way, but Virgo wants you to work on it yourself and focus on the little details and, I believe, Virgo wants you to begin to get well, maybe more well than you’ve been in a very long time. I can see you, clear as day, making progress, taking good care of yourself, and it’s beautiful, so beautiful. It feels very Seven of Pentacles to me, plus Eight of Pentacles, plus Empress. You deserve to be happy.
This evening I had dinner at a new friend’s house. It was a Shabbat dinner (can’t remember the last time I went out on a Friday night) and much of his family was there, children and wife, other guests, and he’s an astrologer too (novice but clearly has a flair for it) and we talked astrology long into the night. It was late as he walked me to the door. The huge, nearly-full moon was there to greet us.
Virgo Season begins August 22nd and it’s also a Full Moon in Aquarius. Endings and beginnings, right?
Listen, I’m the proud owner of too much Virgo in my own personal chart, and I know how it is to be so perfectionist and analytical and critical that you want to give yourself a lobotomy, but I’ve also known Virgo witches and healers who can take your broken pieces and make you whole again. Just like that. Magic. In Virgo Season, whoever you are, wherever you are, you are that witch. You don’t have to go to therapy. You don’t have to stare at the silvery moon. But you do need, in my humble Virgo Moon opinion, to dust off the Virgo part of your chart and ask yourself: what needs fixing here? What needs tending? What needs mending?
And then mend it. Fix it. Stitch it. Repair it. Virgo sees what’s wrong on its way to seeing and doing what’s right.
“Continual improvement,” an astrologer once said to me about Virgo. You have the tools. You have the instructions. You have everything you need, dear star lovers. You always did. Now get to work.
Love,
Aliza
